PROGRAM DAY BY DAY
Day 1: Flight from Barcelona to Kathmandu via Doha
Day 2: Arrival in Kathmandu and Overnight including dinner and sightseeing with a local guide
DAy 3: Flight to Paro, Buthan, meeting the local guide and cultural Sightseeing.. Overnight
Day 4: Afetr Breakfast hiking to Tiger Nest, one of the most important Monestries in the country full of legends and mistery. surrounded by an amazing landscape. Overnight in Paro.
Day 5: Transfer to Thimphu, walk to the Oldest Monastery in the valley "Changankha Lahkhang", cultural sightseeing and overnight in Timphu
Day 6: After breakfast hiking to the Phajoding Goenba, in the afternoon time to visit culture and heritage sites from locals, dinner and accommodation in Timphu
Day 7: After breakfast we will get ready to drive for 2 h to Punakha, short hike to Chimi Lhakhang trhough farming land and the Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Chorten, Overnight in Punakha
Day 8: Early morning call to continue our journey to Phobjikha by car.. In Phobjikha we will walk around the valley crossing small villages and sharing our experience with the locals. and Overnight.
Day 9: Early breakfast and 6 h drive to Bumthang, Walk to Ura Valley, overnight.
Day 10: After breakfast we will drive to Tharpaling Monastery and walk to the Jaka Valley , overnight in Bumthang
Day 11: After breakfast , we will go for a long hike at Tang Valley and Burning Lake, return to Bumthang to overnight
Day 12: Today we will have again a long drive, 6 h , the road approaching Mongar is one of the most spectacular journeys in the country. It passes over sheer cliffs and through beautiful fir forests and green pasture. We will have time to visit the Rhododendron garden. There are countless varieties of rhododendrons here and on clear days you can even catch a glimpse of Gangkhar Puensum (7541 m). Overnight
Day 13: After Early breakfast, 2 h drive to Trashigang, the village lies to the east side of the valley above the Drangme Chhu river. We will visit the surroundings and the Trashigang Dzong., one of the largest dzong fortress in Bhutan. Overnigh
Day 14 and 15: After early morning breakfast, we will get ready to reach one of the most remote areas in the country. We will approch the Village of Merak by 4WM and Hiking ( as it is the only way to reach it at 3520m), Sightseeing, Walk and sharing time with the locals. overnight
Day 16: After descending Merak we will continue by car to SamdrupJongkhar during 2h, the town is one of the oldest in Eastern Bhutan with several highlights as Mithun Breeding Farm and Samdrup Jongkhar Dzong.. Overnight
Day 17: Depart to Guwahati Airport 3 h drive, just after crossing the Indian border for connecting flight to Delhi and continue to Barcelona.
Day 18: Arrival in Barcelona.
